WASTE AND RECYCLING

(back)

Waste and recycling is an ordinary part of our daily life in Vennesla.

On the pictures above there is three trashcans. As you see they have different colours. That means that they have different parts in the whole meaning of recycling.

The trashcan gets drained once a week.

The disadvantage about all this is that people throw away plenty of useful food. But that is our way to live nowadays, we really know how to waste good money, food etc, but were doing our best to recycle the things we use at most.

We have an organisation in Norway called "The Salvation Army". They collect clothes that we don’t need, wash them and sell them for a cheap penny. There are people, who haven’t got so much money, who are very grateful for these kinds of shops.

"The Salvation Army" doesn’t go from door-to-door to collect clothes. There are containers witch people can put bags of clothes in.

They also collect clothes to other poor countries.
