The committees in our municipality

Each municipality has a lot of committees, which handle things on each responsible area. A member in a committee is expert on his own responsibility area. The committees come with solutions for the local council to the municipality. The committees can also decide some cases on their own.

In Vennesla municipality there are four main-committees and some smaller. The main-committees consist of nine members, and each member has one secondary member. The smaller committees consist of a minimum of three members.

The four main-committees are:

Committee of planning and economy
Committee of health and social affairs
Committee of education and culture
Committee of buildings and environment affairs

The building –and environmental committee.

Communal techniques (road, water, renovation, the sewer system and fire.)

Communal properties

Density – and local environmental development (agriculture and forestry, water and waterfalls, hunting and fishing.)

Those areas that the plan- and building-law consists of, with exception off communal plan cases. The committees are the permanent committee for plan cases by the plan- and building-law.

The committees put the resolutions in progress by guidelines given by the Norwegian government.

Responsibilities

The committee are responsible for co-operation and planing the operation of the health, social and health care departments. They also have to co-ordinate cases which are being decided in the elder council, control committee for serving alcohol in restaurants and other councils. They make decisions in side in other councils that cant decide on their own. They control that their decisions is being accomplished

Out door life.

Responsibilities

The committee are responsible for co-operation and planing the operation of the education, kinder gardens and culture departments.

They have to make it easy for out door life. And other culture things

Otherwise they do the same tings as the other committees .

The Tax-committee consists of three members.

The municipal direct decides who that shall be the director and vice-director in the tax-committee every 2^nd year.

The functional-time is the same as the municipal directing time.

The school's co-operation's committee consists of:

Two representatives from the teacher's council.
One representative from another staff area.
The headmaster.
Two representatives from the pupil's council.
Two representatives from the parental-council.
One representative from the school-direct.
