The district is north of Vennesla, with Birkenes in east, Evje and Hornnes in north-west.
Iveland do not have anything to offer the youth in their sparetime, except Christian organizations. They got two kindergardens, three primary schools, and one secondary school. When the students have finished the secondary school they have to go on Vennesla high school because they do not got on.
Economic life in Iveland consists of farming and tourism, it is also alot of shops in the municipalicity. Agder Limtre A/S is the biggest worker employer in Iveland. 36% of the workers in Iveland are pendeling to Kristiandsand or Vennesla.
Some years ago Iveland had a mine. The mine extracted minerals like Tortveit and Feltspatt that was used to make false teeth.

SetesdalThe name Setesdal was used for Valle and Bykle municipalities, but later it was used also for Bygland, Evje and Hornnes municipalities. All together its approximately 4642 km2 and has 7020 inhabitants. Natural center in the valley is Evje which has approximately 1678 inhabitants.
Setesdal above Byglandsfiord is narrow, with some wide areas and steep mountains. People live in scattered neighbourhoods in main valley. Setesdal is well known with its old architecture, handicrafts and folkmusic, that are based on living traditions.
