Vennesla is located 17 km north of Kristiansand witch is one of the largest harbours in Norway. Kristiansand is a major town in the southern part of Norway.

The distance from Vennesla to the North Cape – Europe’s northern part – is approx. 2500 km. This equals the distance from Vennesla to Rome, Italy.

Norway has four seasons.
- Winter, cold ( Below 0 C ), some snow
- Spring, temperature about 10-13 C, pretty dry
- Summer, usually pleasant 18-23 C, sunny
- Autumn, temperatures about 8-10 C, some rain
Main tourist season: May-September.
