(back)
Are you interested in a beautiful nature?
If so, Vennesla is the place for you. Wherever you go in
Vennesla, you can see the forest.
If you take a walk in the forest, you can experience many different kinds of treesx
and a great animal life. Some of the trees you can find are oak, pine, birch and spruce. These are the most usual trees.
Some of these trees covers ground so much that the sun cant reach it, thats why it is pretty dark some places in the woods. So the light will be able to reach the ground the forest-owners cut down the trees and plants new trees so the forest wont die out.
The forest in Vennesla is there for very well taken care of.
Bugs like to be in a dark and moist places were the sun cant reach the ground. But squirrels are quite opposite; they like to climb on the top of the trees. Other animals that you can meet in our woods are elk, hare, roe deer, fox etc.
In Norway we have four seasons; spring, summer, autumn, winter. And the forest is clearly effected by this.
Spring: This is the time when
the forest starts tom bloom. The trees get buds. And the birds are starting to sing again,
witch they havent done for a long time. (Since they have been in the south
countries.)
Summer: The trees are getting green leaves. Almost all the flowers are finished blooming. And the animals are already out eating and playing in the woods.
Autumn: In this time of the year the leaves change colour from green to yellow, red and brown. And the leaves are in the end falling of the trees. The autumn colour may fascinate you. Many animals are collecting food preparing for the winters cold night.
Winter: It is very cold in this time of the year, which is the reason that many birds are flying to the south countries. The forest is usually covered with snow.
The special smell you can always sense
in the forest has many sources, but mostly it descendes from the trees.
