Before we used a small valley to waste dump for the garbage.
Now we take the garbage, sated it, treats it and returns the garbage that can be used again. The rest is deposit.
Even the drift-water that flows from the waste dump is cleaned at Støleheia, before it flows to the pipes into the Otra cable.

The compost construction on Støleheia has two kinds of composts,
Biorefuse and cloakslam.
The mudcompost goes mostly to the greenconstruction in the connection with roads and other projects, while the biorefuse goes mostly to private kitchengardens and the agriculture.
When the trash from the brown garbagecans are delivered on Støleheia it is mixed with shavings before this mixture is laid into long bins made of concrete in the composting construction.
There is the compost turned daily for three weeks before it is transferred to a four-week indoor aftermeaturing.
