Norsk Wallboard A/S

Norwegian Wallboard A/S is situated on Vikeland in Vennesla. They manufacture surface- treated wood- fibre boards for building- purposes and industry. The factory is situated near a residential area and has 131 employees. 5 persons have or have had hearing related problems. Measures every second year out door, and the result is from 45-60dB.

The machines are made to make as little noise as possible. The dB level inside is 30-40. They have recieved a complaint from an outsider, when it was measured 58 dB in the complainter`s garden.

The industrial company will continue the limitation of the noise-problem by putting up a noise baffle, and by installing new equipment and give priority noise to muffled fans.
