Vigeland Metal Refinery
Vigeland Metal Refinery was built in 1906 - 1908, and was one of the first aluminium refineries in Norway. Tthey are refining superpure aluminium.
Information given by Tor Ferden in SFT:
VMR has applied for a renewed concession. This application is under public consideration. The old concession is from 1974. SFT wants to put forward demands about noise, and can order the factory to do measurings. The demands are not settled, but ordinarily demands for this type of round-the clock industry can be about 50dB on daytime/ 45dB at night, measured at the nearest neighbouring house.
The company claims that it has not received any complaints from the neighbours. The company has not any intentions to do something about the noise.
