Each student at Vennesla Junior High School had been abroad, if we believe the results from our questionnaires. Some over half of them had been abroad before the age of five. Most of them travelled to Nordic countries or the rest of Europe on their first trip abroad. Basically everybody preferred foreign countries as travelling-goal, and far over half of the questioned had pleasant experiences from their own vacations abroad as well. The reasons why they travel to foreign countries are mainly the sunny beaches and the several shops. Most of them choose to travel during their summer-holidays. Otherwise it is common to spend their vacations at their cabins or to go camping.
