The Middle-aged

All the questioned answered positively to the question on whether they had been abroad before or during the last ten years. Over half of them had been to foreign countries for the first time when they were ten years or younger, a third of them when they were from ten to twenty years old, while the rest of them were twenty years and older. Almost everyone spent their first holiday in one of the Nordic countries,

When we asked what sort of transportation they used on their travels, we got some combined answers. Most of them used a car, a plane or a boat as way of transportation. Not as surprisingly, two-thirds preferred to travel to foreign countries. It was the culture, nature and the magnificent beaches some states and islands have to offer that tempted them as tourists. Hot temperatures did not hurt either. It is obviously not warm enough summers in Norway, because most of them left the country during the summertime or fall. And most Norwegians travel every second year or often, judged by the result from the questionnaires.
