The different generation’s travel-patterns to foreign countries

We dealt with three generations to find information about their travelling-habits, and to see how these travelling-habits had changed through the twentieth century. We categorised them as Young, Middle-aged and elderly people. Hypothesis on how we thought their travelling-habits had changed had been made in advance:

  • The Elderly had seldom travelled during their adolescence.
  • The Elderly nowadays travel more than young people do.
  • In the Old days the travelled less caused by lack of money. And besides, it was unusual to make long-distance travels.
  • It is more common to travel at present time, but it is still a lot of people, who cannot afford to go on holidays.
  • It is easier to travel now, because the families are smaller. In other words, fewer children lead to less expenses/more money.
  • It is easier to travel nowadays, because of the considerable developed technology.

It was very difficult to find information since this is a rare theme. So the questions were made out from these assumptions, and adjusted to the different generations to have a founding material to remain to.
