Conditions Between Father and Son

Back to Main Page

fs1eng.jpg (36318 bytes)The figure shows how active boys are when it comes to sports today(son), and 20-30 years ago(father). The figure shows how many percent that is active in 1 organized sport and how many who were active 2, 3, or more.

We can see that boys are more active in an organized sport now, than they were 20-30 years ago. The results might be explained by saying that a lot of people were active in sports earlier, but this was not organized.

fs2eng.jpg (56937 bytes)The figure shows the most popular sports today (son) and 20-30 years ago (father).

Prior to the project we thought that the fathers were active in more sports than we are today. There is similarity, but the figure shows that boys are more active today than 20-30 years ago.

In this figure the differences are between the number of men/ boys who play soccer.

Here it is a clear difference between father and son. We think that one of the reasons for this development is that the sport demands more from you today than it did earlier. Earlier it was enough to train once a week, now you have to train up to several times a week.
