Alcohol poll among students at Vennesla Junior high

We carried out an alcohol poll at Vennesla junior high. We intended to find out how widespread alcohol is among youngsters. We have also got three teachers view when it comes to youngsters and alcohol. Most of them think it is a terrifying development. Now they start already when hey are 13-14 years old. This also makes students start using drugs.The teachers are positive about the poll, and hope that the resultat will make parents pay more attention to how their kids spend their spare time.

We have enclosed some statistics about the poll. There is also a copy of the questionnaire we handed out to the students.

According to the poll the youth in Vennesla started drinking when they were very young. This is very schocking. They also drink very often .This can be useful for teachers ,parents and also for politicians to know. The reason for the problem may be that the municipality has not very much to offer, when it comes to leisure activites.It is also very popular for youngsters to start drinknig early, when the access to "moonshine" is so suitable.

To improve this development the politicians could spend more money on leisure activities in the weekends. Now there is mostly just Christian activities. Not everybody think that hanging out at the chapel is the greatest thing to do on a Saturday night.
