During the last years the mobile has become a part of the every day life to most youths. In contrast to previous times when it was hidden in the pocket, it's not an unusual to find feverish youths with their faithfull friend in their hand.

With a mobil on the inside pocket, there is no need to stay at home, waiting for something to happen. With a quick movement by the hand oral messages are beeing sent to the space and down to someones mobile. It only takes a few seconds and can be done whenever and whereever you want.

To map the mobileuse, we distributet 09.02.00 questionnaires to 2AFA, 2ŘAD, VK1ME. 62 pupils took part in the research which was carried out at Vennesla VGS.

These are the following questions which were asked, graphs and conclutions:

Out of 62 persons, who took part in the research, there were 50 persons with mobiles, and only 12 without. About 80% have got a mobile phone. This is the number we expected. It also shows that Vennesla's youngsters have got a good economy. The cellphone will allways be there. This can also show that it is a trend constantly growing.

After looking at the diagram, we discovered that the exclusive phone Nokia has a relative high percentage among pupils. Every third mobilephone is a Nokia. These numbers also fits with the numbers on world basis. We also think that the look of the mobilephone attracts the students. This may be, because some phones contains games. The cellphone is quite expensive to, which may show a sign of personal status.

The main reasons for mobileuse is that young people wants to be accessible and to send messages. This may also show that most young people do not want to spend so much money on their phone. Messages are therefore a more reasonable offer, because you may express yourself short and correct.

The diagram shows that the main stress point is at 0-300, which can be the cause of free SMS. Only a small number of pupils use more than 700 in the month. This might say us that the pupils don't want to spend so much money.

More than half of the pupils defye the teachers strict opinion on mobileuse in school. But we think that most pupils switch off their mobilphones during class. A reason to bring the phone to school, is probably beacuse it is trendy. We also think that a small amount of students use their phone as a "boredom-killer". We have all observed this during boring lessons.
