How do  gas stations  in Vennesla take care of hazardous substances?        

We chose to visit the following gas stations:                                              

Esso, Hydro Texaco og Shell.

What do you do with the hazardous substances?      

We deliver oil and tyres to delivery stations . 

What kinds of hazardous substances do you have?     

We have oil, tyres, car batteries and oil filters.

How large amounts do you have?                

Do you have to pay anything to get rid of the hazardous substances?                  

No, we do not have to pay anything. The environmental tax covers that.

Do you have any routines that you follow?    

We take a bearing of the oil tank and get rid of the oil twice a year. When it is more than 200 tyres we order some people to come to come and collect it, if it is less than 200 we have to pay for it.

Are there any laws that tell how to take care of hazardous substances?

No, I do not think so.

What do you do with the hazardous substances?

We pour  the oil into a tank under the ground. It is emptied 3 times a year. 

What kinds of hazardous substances do you have?

 We have car oil, oil filters, tyres, gasoline and car batteries.

How large amounts do you have?     

Do you have to pay anything to get rid of the hazardous substances?             

No, the environmental tax takes care of that. The exceptions are oil filters which we have to pay for.    

Do you have any routines that you follow?    

Yes, they come to get tyres every spring and autumn. Oil filters are kept until they are full. Then they are emptied.

Are there any laws that tell how to take care of hazardous substances? 

Yes, the enivornment law!

What do you do with the hazardous substances?  

 We phone Norwegian Recycling. They come to get batteries and tyres.

What kinds of hazardous substances do you have?

We have oil, tyres, carbatteries, brake fluid

How large amounts do you have?                           

Tyres: ca. 200 .                                   

Oil: ca. 2000 litres

Do you have to pay anything to get rid of the hazardous substances?             

No, the environment tax takes care of that.  

Do you have any routines that you follow?

We call when the storage room is full.

Yes, HealthEnvironmentSafety. The enivornmentsupervision can come to visit and then it is important that the HES is correct.
