Districtheating plant
A districtheating plant consists of a heatcentral, a distribution net and a custumercentral. In the heatingcentral the different energycarriers are being transformed into energy, in form of warm water. The distributionnet consists of pipelines which supply the users with districtheating water. In the custumercentral districtheating energy is transported to two factories.
In Vennesla a districtheating plant is being used by "Norsk Wallboard". This plant has been used since 1.12.99. The investment costed 1,2 million NOK.
"Norsk Wallboard A/S" produces Huntonit wall- and roofboards, to the buildingmarked in Norway and Northern-Europe. Under the production, warm water is used, and in cooparation with Scan Trade and the Pentecostal Church, "Norsk Wallboard" made an agreement. They decided to utilizie some of the warm wastewater, and they would like to . 55000 liters of water are transported in the plant each hour.

The warm water is lead in pipelines, which are under the ground from "Norsk Wallboard" to Scan Trade and the Pentecostal Church. The effect is 800kWh and this can heat up 5800m2. The pipelines lies closely side by side ynder the buildings. The heat can be regulated. This is a very eco-friendly investment. "Norsk Wallboard" also hopes for an economical. They hope that within 4-5 years maybe the plant will be finanst.
