Health efforts

The Ministry of Health's report says that the research institutes don't have enough evidence to prove any link between several diseases and exposure to electromagnetic radiation. The Ministry of Health suggests that systematic work must be done to get more knowledge about suspected effects.

Symptoms possibly related to electric and/or electromagnetic fields, is a complex of health diseases reported from an increasing number of people. The reasons for these diseases are not known. Lack of knowledge about links between exposure and symptoms makes diagnosis or eventuall treatment difficult. Until research can give answers to these questions, we must try to use the knowledge we have today.

The targets for future research of those symptoms possibly related to electric or electromagnetic fields must be to get more knowledge about the health problems. The Ministry of Health's suggestion tells of increased activity on three main issues on three levels: The national level, in the health service, and on the individual level.

The Ministry of Health recommends carrying out this in three main phases:

    1. Establish a commitee that can systematize knowledge and develop systems for treatment.

    2. Develop guidance material for health service.

    3. Develop information materials for persons and services where the problems are topical.

The targets for these efforts are to get a future handling of the problem with health diseases which can have a link to electromagnetic fields.
