Streams: Norwegian streams and water ways are exceptional in European connection. This environment gives life to animals, insects, fish and other organisms.The water also serves as nature`s own cleansingsystem by filtrating polluted water. These surroundings whith small creeks are threatened because of the development of hydroelectric power stations. Today there are 341 protected streams in Norway. In Vennesla there is a large number of streams and watercourses. Most of them end in the river Otra. The diverity of nature in small creeks and rivers have great influence on the environment.  Too much fertilation in farming is a  problem in some populated areas. The industri stands for most of the effluent of nitrogen in nitrogen to water.
