In june 2000 the classes of 1 AAA, 1 AAB and 1 AAC in Vennesla high school worked on energy - related issues which are presented here.

DRIVING FORCES:

It seems that increased wealth and high material standard always leads to increased energy consumption. Lack of consciousness is an important part of this mechanism. 

* Do youths in Vennesla care about their consumption of hot water for bathing and showering?

* What attitudes are common in Vennesla conserning energy saving?

STATE:

 Renewable energy sources:

* Wind mills

* Sun cells - used in about 60% of the cabins in the Vennesla area.

* Water power:    The river Otra as an energy source

                             Steinsfossen power station

Not renewable energy sources:

* Europes highest gasoline prices seems to have no influence on how much we use our car.

RESPONSE:

* What can you do to reduce the energy consumption at home?

* What can we do to reduce the energy consumtion in our school?

* What is done at Hunsfos and in Vennesla lower secondary school to save energy?

* How does a heating pump work, and is it a good economical investment?
